Seeing those first pounds disappear

Wow, I got on the scale this morning, to reflect a 2.8 pound loss, bringing me back down to 219.2. I haven't been under 220 in months. Like probably 5 or 6 months. My first knee-jerk reaction is that "this is water weight," because of ALL of the other diets that reflect this kind of change usually don't ever reflect it again after day one. I know it will be different, but the traditional rules have been ingrained in my brain for so long it's hard to change the way you see things initially. That is why I was skeptical of this plan in the beginning.

I won't sugar coat it, but yesterday was rough in the afternoon. I'm glad it's just a combination of detox and that severe drop in blood sugar. So, today, I'm splitting up my meals for a more even day. Cutting each meal in 1/2 and eating more frequently. I just took some advil for my headache and am sipping on a cup of decaf chocolate cake coffee with stevia. Not bad, considering typically my coffee would be filled with creamer and sugar.

I realize that this first week may have rough patches, the candida in my body is going to die off without access to sugar. It will have nothing to feed on, but I'm assured by other dieters that thiss will pass and I will feel like a new woman come next week or the week after. Good thing because we are heading out of town for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends and I need to be STABLE by then. :)

I'll post more later, once my day is winding to it's end. Have a wonderful day everyone!
