Round 3, VLCD Day1
I love my body bugg, love seeing huge deficits tho I know that the hcg allows more to be burned that is tracked. I do have to say that the body bugg is picking up some of that. The comparison from the day before when I was active is astonishing. Burning nearly the same amount being sedentary. Pretty cool.
I'm tired, under the weather and going to go rest a while...until tomorrow...

Wal Mart Neighborhood Market
So far, I feel good today. The body bugg shows a 937 calorie deficit by noon, so that's fantastic. I also noticed that I am actually burning more calories while on the protocol. Just like it says you do. Twice as many as yesterday by this time and hardly moving at all....yesterday I was up and down stairs moving boxes etc. Today, I've sat here on the computer most of the morning trying to get all of my hcg tracking stuff in order. YAY body bugg, yay hcg!
Ready, Set, Go!
Stats:
Weight: 207.9
Measurements:
Chest: 46"
Waist: 45.5"
Hips: 44.5"
L Thigh: 26.5"
R Thigh: 27.5"
L Arm: 13.5"
R Arm: 13.75"
The weight is up a whopping 15.2 from my LIW of round 2, which was a complete failure round (this happens to many whether it is because they didn't give their body enough of a break or for some unknown reason). My measurements are off by .5 inch in chest, 1.1 inches on waist, hips are the same, thighs are the same, Arms are about .5 inch less. So, I am up, but it's still "fixable."
So, here we go........until tomorrow......

2010, A New Year, A New Me
So, today is loading day #1....though I have been loading for about a month.....if that says anything about my eating. I am up 16 pounds from my LIW. Yikes. Admitting that is hard. It really is. My weight as of today is 207.9. I was shocked to come back from Christmas vacation to a huge gain....but enough about failure and onward to success.
So, HCG here we come. I am doing sublingual this time again. I am going to experiment with something this time, exercise. As a SAHM of 2 children under 4, I realized I need some productive time alone. Hitting the gym is the perfect way for me to achieve that. I am aware that it is not recommended on this protocol, but thought I would increase my intake with protein shakes by the amount of calories that I burn at the gym (thank you body bugg for the opportunity to track burned cals). So, my plan is to do the 500 cals on the days I am not at the gym and increase it by 200-500 for hitting the gym.
I am excited and nervous about doing this after being a complete failure the last round, but am utterly tired of being fat...so here I go.

Love
I'd so desperately hoped that my weight loss journey would change my behavior, but the reality of it is much different. No diet can fix the reasons that I am overweight to begin with. No diet and no matter how thin I get, will ever make me "happy." I have never been happy, I've always complained about how I look. I've always loathed myself, even since I was a child. THAT is where this starts.
It starts as a small chid born to a 16 year-old Mother who had a lot of life to live herself, a child without a Father in the picture, a child who had zero stability, a child who's only "Father figure" died suddenly when she was 9. This child was lonely. This child didn't learn what love was except for the brief time she'd spent with her Grandfather before he died. She grew up in survival mode, protecting her heart as best as she could from the pain of feeling emotionally abandoned. A child who was clearly guided by God in the right direction, but none-the-less, still felt very empty and lonely and hurt. She felt like she had to hide herself away and protect that person so that she could get through each day. She spent a lot of time home sick from school, sometimes physically sick because worry and sadness plagued her heart, but sometimes because she didn't even feel loved at school and felt like she wasn't pretty enough, smart enough, popular enough, or worthy enough. This young girl missed at least one day per month of school, sometimes more.
The loneliness spread in to every facet of her young life. Loneliness that started at home. Loneliness from having an empty relationship with her Mother, a child who was angry when men would appear to take her place of importance. Loneliness found when left in a strangers living room as her Mother spent time in a locked bedroom with what would be only one of many boyfriends, and a song playing that night that would trigger those emotions for the rest of her life each time it played. Loneliness caused by missing the one piece of glue that held her emotions together for so long, Grandpa. Loneliness found in moving from school to school, moving a total of 7 schools by the time she graduated from High School. A life full of instability, insecurity, and never having learned the value of love at the deepest level. The level that it takes to build a healthy self-esteem, the level that teaches a child to value themselves, the level that shows young ones that they can have confidence and that they can achieve their dreams. This young me never thought she was good enough for dreams. She had BIG dreams. Dreams of acting, dreams of Marine Biology. She hid those dreams because she didn't value who she was. Because she didn't value herself, she learned to comfort with food. It could've been worse, she could've resorted to sex, drugs, or suicide, but she chose food.....which can be a drug AND suicide depending on what a person allows it to be.
I found comfort in the love of God at a young age, and thank goodness for Him. Thank goodness I had someone holding my hand along the way. The one thing I missed was His lesson of loving myself, learning to value me because He does. Learning that self-destructive behavior is the last thing that is good for me. So, here I am, almost 33 years later and I've at least nailed down the behaviors. It started as a child, the patterns, the choices to use food. There weren't consequences as a child, because I was active. The consequences came later.
Now that I've moved beyond a lot of my past, learning to forgive my Mom for not being who I needed her to be and realizing she probably did the best she knew how. Learning to forgive the details that sent me to choose food as my drug of choice. Though I've been moving forward from the emotional pain, the scars still remain. The scar of feeding my emotions. My emotions today vary, they aren't the same emotions that plagued me then. They are every day hassles, every day stresses, but my coping mechanism has stayed the same and my value of myself has stayed the same. I still aspire to act, and over the years when I'd dream about it, I'd tell myself that I wasn't pretty enough, not skinny enough, nobody would like me, I'd be horrible about it. Self-destructive negative thinking. So, now the conquest begins. I have to find out how to love myself. I am not entirely sure how to go about doing that, but I think the first step to all of this is admitting where the problem lies.
So, 2010 IS going to be a new year for the new me. New plans, and a conquest to realize that I, too, can have dreams even if they are big. That I deserve them, to a happy, healthy Mom full of spunk and life. The Mom who will give her own children the tools to value themselves, love themselves, and follow their dreams whatever they may be. That they can succeed and not spend 33 years trapped in a shell, hiding who they really are because nobody taught them that they are valuable.

The Emotional Side
I ordered Jillian Michaels' book "Master Your Metabolism," which has some GREAT suggestions on foods that are fat triggers. It's the way to clean up your diet permanently to be able to maintain the best results physically. It's a wonderful book, and I've begun implementing some of her suggestions. It's amazing how much of what she has to say aligns with the things Kevin Trudeau outlines in his book "The Weight Loss Cure." Eating organic, eliminating toxins in the environment, choosing the right foods etc. It's not an overnight solution for me because financially I can't afford to rid my home of everything that may be one of those triggers and purchase new. It's something I will phase out, but am well on my way.
I am listening to another audio book this morning, "Get With The Program" by Bob Greene. I'm hoping this will help me tackle the emotional side, and prepare properly for long-term success. I've hidden behind emotions for a lot of my life, eating to numb those and I've got to tackle that if the weight is going to stay off. So far, I'm on a train wreck path of gaining my weight back. I do NOT want to sabotage everything I've worked for. I just have to work on each area so that it is a life change, not a temporary change.
That's all for now....

Going Into Hiding
See you soon........
Plateau and Chicken Soup
I'm guessing one of two, if not both, things are happening to me. I am back up this morning and I keep hovering here at 193.9. I keep losing and coming back to this place. Either this is the plateau Simeons talks about, that place where your weight resided for MANY years and your body thinks you need to continue to be at. Sometimes these can last a week or two. I also made homemade chicken soup yesterday and included a couple of "non-approved" items.....so that could also be it. It also was made with boullion so the salt content may have been too high. OR we could be facing BOTH as the culprit. So, no more soup. I'm going to stick with what I know works. Those same meals I loved making the first round and just having ready to eat when the time came. I will have to get busy making them again today.
So, hopefully things will prove different tomorrow. At least yesterday I broke into a number I'd not yet seen. I know I can break through this challenge!
See you tomorrow......

Determining Success
Ralph Marston:
Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality.
Are our doubts greater than our goals? For much of my dieting life, that has always been the case. I've never had confidence in myself that I can succeed at losing weight. I always had a day planned, a goal, to be good to succeed then I would slip up........which was like opening the doubt gates. Doubt would flood in and suddenly my entire day was sabotaged because I convinced myself to continue to slip because the day was already ruined. I even find, from time-to-time, that I still see glimpses of that girl. The one who likes to sabotage success. The one I have let control my mindset for so long. BUT I REFUSE TO LET HER STAY. This time is different already.
The success you see on this plan in the short amount of time, allows you to really put "that girl" away. You are going so fast, you just bulldoze right over the top of her. HA HA. PLLLLLLTTTTTHHHHHHHHTTTTTTT! (spitting). It is that advantage that allows us to begin to change the insides as much as the outsides. We get a fresh new perspective and a glimpse at success, which drives us (well me for sure) to continue. To push forward and overcome challenges rather than giving up like we have on other "diets." 85% of people not only follow through, but keep the weight off on the hCG diet. I don't think Weight Watchers can even say that, not what I experienced and some of my friends experienced while on the plan (though great for many and great temporarily).
Well, I was up .3 yesterday but am down 2.4 this morning to 192.7. Drawing closer to the 190 border where I will cross into a place I have not been in so long. That is motivation to keep on keepin on.
Until tomorrow....

Day 1 back on track
Jillian Michaels' inspiration for today: Be Prepared, Kid
Now that you've decided to lose weight, make like a Boy Scout and think of yourself as being on a mission. The key to success is to have a game plan for every situation that might throw you off course. This stuff isn't brain surgery — it's common sense. If you take the time to think ahead, you can come up with ways to overcome every obstacle.
There is the whole "fail to plan, plan to fail" thing again. I planned yesterday, prepped meals for a few days and will make some more today or tomorrow. Hubby is on the plan with me now, so he'll need all the planning as well.
So far so good....until tomorrow!

New Beginnings
My approach and plans
- prepare meat for at least a week ahead of time
- cut up veggies for a few days
- make sure I'm taking all of my supplements
- drink enough water

A note before bed......about starting over
- could my old batch have been bad (would explain the hunger and cravings since day 1). The yahoo groups discussed some "bad batches" of the hCG in the larger quantites and this was a 5000 unit ampule I mixed for the injections.
- now that I've remixed and have started sublingual, which I have been hungry these last 3 days since starting it) I have gained the type of weight you do when hCG is working properly.
- maybe I'm not immune at all but didn't have enough hCG in my body to work, which would explain the yo yoing. up 1-3, down 1-3, up, down, up, down. Hungry, hungry, hungry. Tired, tired tired......
I will no doubt be UP tomorrow.
Creating a Website
I'm still unsure whether or not I've hit immunity. Last round, I never craved this stuff even when I was stressed. So, we'll see. I will give it a few more days to see. If I need to take a break, I need to take a break. My husband has his loading days today, so hopefully things will be easier with someone else supporting me.
I have started a website because I have been helping so many friends get info on this protocol as well as helping many of them get started. It is still a work in progress, but check it out

Immunity
I wondered if it was just in my head, I wondered if I was really tired or if I was trying to convince myself that my failures have been due to immunity. For those of you who don't know what immunity is, it's when the HCG has been in your system long enough that your body no longer uses it the way this protocol has designed. In other words, you suddenly become hungry, have trouble losing, and become fatigued. This most often happens in subsequent rounds. For me, I wonder if I could have reached immunity due to the fact that I was pregnant twice in 4 years. I wonder, and need to do some research, as to whether that can bring immunity on faster.
In spite of how I ate yesterday, I lost 3.6 pounds and I'm down to 193.6. So, another thing that runs through my head is, "could this just be an adjustment as my body metabolizes the sublingual differently. I've been on the forum with very few answers, but did get a response from a very "seasoned" HCGer via e-mail. Not all of my questions are answered, but I will just have to play the day out again and see how I feel. I need to be aware that if HCG is not working and I am losing weight, I am going to be losing the wrong type of weight and will need to take a break.
If you ever hit immunity, the best bet is to take a well-needed break. 6 weeks or longer. This will allow your body to clear out the HCG. If you continue to try to push through, the HCG just doesn't work and your immunity to it will become worse and extend longer. I hate the thought that I could have to take a break before I've reached my next goal. I'm going to give this a few days, then if my hunger issue is not resolved, I will take that break. I am starving this morning to say the least.
We will see what the day brings, it is the start of VLCD day 18 for me. Until tomorrow......

Sublingual
Upon returning it was time to think about mixing my husband's sublingual formula and I got to thinking that I'd like to try it myself. I'm not exactly "needle phobic" but there is some sense of anxiety when I stare at that thing each day and poke myself with it. Especially as the fat in my gut reduces and sometimes it is more painful than others. I could continue to do injections, but I decided that I'd like to compare it with sublingual. I have the supplies to resume injections if I so choose, but thought I'd join the sublingual band wagon. So, today here we are......riding that wagon.
Today is the start of Day 17, I can and MAY continue the sublingual formula longer than the injections were scheduled. Sublingual offers longer rounds of Phase 2, though I've yet to figure out why. lol
Here is a little excerpt from "Pounds and Inches" by A.T.W. Simeons, the founding Doctor of the HCG Protocol.
Dietary Errors
Any interruption of the normal loss of weight which does not fit perfectly into one of those categories is always due to some possibly very minor dietary error. Similarly, any gain of more than 100 grams is invariably the result of some transgression or mistake, unless it happens on or about the day of ovulation or during the three days preceding the onset of menstruation, in which case it is ignored. In all other cases the reason for the gain must be established at once.
The patient who frankly admits that he has stepped out of his regimen when told that something has gone wrong is no problem. He is always surprised at being found out, because unless he has seen this himself he will not believe that a salted almond, a couple of potato chips, a glass of tomato juice or an extra orange will bring about a definite increase in his weight on the following day.
Very often he wants to know why extra food weighing one ounce should increase his weight by six ounces. We explain this in the following way: Under the influence of HCG the blood is saturated with food and the blood volume has adapted itself so that it can only just accommodate the 500 Calories which come in from the intestinal tract in the course of the day. Any additional income, however little this may be, cannot be accommodated and the blood is therefore forced to increase its volume sufficiently to hold the extra food, which it can only do in a very diluted form. Thus it is not the weight of what is eaten that plays the determining role but rather the amount of water which the body must retain to accommodate this food.
This can be illustrated by mentioning the case of salt. In order to hold one teaspoonful of salt the body requires one liter of water, as it cannot accommodate salt in any higher concentration. Thus, if a person eats one teaspoonfull of salt his weight will go up by more than two pounds as soon as this salt is absorbed from his intestine.
To this explanation many patients reply: Well, if I put on that much every time I eat a little extra, how can I hold my weight after the treatment? It must therefore be made clear that this only happens as long as they are under HCG. When treatment is over, the blood is no longer saturated and can easily accommodate extra food without having to increase its volume. Here again the professional reader will be aware that this interpretation is a simplification of an extremely intricate physiological process which actually accounts for the phenomenon.
My focus needs to be regained after all of my "cheating." Back at it again!!!

Perseverance-R2D16
Good Morning! As you can tell by the title, something must be "up." Well, yes, that is, in fact, true. My weight is up. 1.8 to 195.7. I have been sabotaging my own success for quite some time on this round. I have attributed it to the same factors that typically cause eating, stress etc. Now, what I have GOT to learn is how to change the behavior. That is a part of this plan as well. I'm not entirely sure whether the move was a trigger or if it's just "old me" coming out to play. What I do know, is I will need to PERSEVERE. Ultimately, I've been letting myself get hungry. I do great until the afternoon. I've not eaten everything that is on the menu for the day, so I end up eating things "off the menu." This round is a little different than last because my husband is around and I'm now cooking for him and the the kids. Although, he is starting the protocol next week so that will be easier for me.
My lack of planning has also been to my own detriment. I have not prepared my meats in advance as I had the last time and I have not found one of my favorites (ground chicken) at our local stores. Now is the time to start planning. No more excuses, no more cheating, no more changes. Changes are another thing that have been implemented a little too much. I've not been sticking with "what works." I started eating apples again, which on the first round, didn't really work well with the losses for me. So, I switched to grapefruit. My problem now with grapefruit is that it upsets my stomach, so it must be too acidic. I also ran out of my protein shake, of which I ordered, but hasn't arrived yet. I bought something else at the store, but it's very gross and completely the wrong thing. I have also been eating way too much beef. Beef is one thing that if I eat too often, my losses stall.
So, my goal today is to grind up my own chicken and make some taco meat and salsa. That is my favorite meal. I could eat it twice a day, and on the last round, that's exactly what I did much of the time. Ultimately, I'm not utilizing the best tools that I have at my disposal. The biggest tool I have available that I'm not using is this: PRIOR PLANNING PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCE. Well, I've had piss poor performance for weeks this time. It's time to make some changes. I could be in the 180's now if I'd of just..................okay, that's where I need to stop. Should've, could've, would've but didn't. So, stop and change it NOW. That is the key. Being aware that there is a behavior problem and taking steps to change it. Behavior is what got me in this mess to begin with.
We are going to spend the weekend with our friends who live a couple of hours away. I was planning to just eat whatever was prepared in moderation, but now I'm realizing that if I want to succeed, I'd better pre-cook some of that chicken and salsa and bring it with me. Success is all about behavior modification.
A quote to ponder on: "You may delay, but time will not." Benjamin Franklin.
Really think about what that means for you. For me, it means, keep cheating, keep delaying in your successes in this protocol, and you will find yourself in the same place you've always been. Rich people (the ones who have worked for it) don't get that way because they procrastinate and sit back and watch the time pass. Time moves forward regardless of how we decide to spend it. It's time to retrain our thinking (my thinking) and allow the best utilization of my time.
Talk is cheap, action is priceless. Enough lip service. I say and I say and I say what I will do, now I need to DO it. I try to hide the fact that I'm cheating and pretend I'm doing so great. I AM still losing most of the time, but at a rate so much slower than I should be. I have 24 days to prove it to myself that this is going to change. 24 days is a very SHORT amount of time where a LOT of success can happen. It's time to allow myself to get to where I need to be.
Well, until Monday........

A Heavy Heart
You are probably wondering why the heavy heart. There are 3 young girls who are nearing the end of their battles with cancer today. My heart is heavy for them and their families. They are strong young girls between the ages of 11 and 14. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, but after what I've learned and witnessed, I will forever be "aware" of the impact of cancer in children. Here are some facts:
• Childhood cancers are the #1 disease killer of children - more than asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined.
• The cause of most childhood cancers are unknown and at present, cannot be prevented. (Most adult cancers result from lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet, occupation, and other exposure to cancer-causing agents)
• One in every 330 Americans will develop cancer by the age of 20. On the average, 12,500 children and adolescents in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer each year.
• 46 children are diagnosed with cancer each school day
• The overall incidence rate for childhood cancers has increased significantly by almost 33% during the period 1975 to 2001
• 1 out of every 5 children diagnosed with cancer dies
• Three out of every five children diagnosed with cancer suffer from long-term or late onset side effects
• 2,300 children and teenagers will die each year from cancer
• less than 3% of all funding for cancer research is directed at childhood cancer
• Research funding: Breast Cancer (NCI: $572.5 million, NIH: $705 million, Dept of Defense: $138 million=approx 1.4 billion dollars); Lung Cancer: $226.9 million; Pancreatic Cancer (kills nearly as many patients as breast cancer) $73.3 million; Cardiovascular Disease $381 million; Space Program: $14 billion; CHILDHOOD CANCER: $35 million.
• 7 children battling cancer won't make it through the day
My heart is heavy for the families of these children, my heart is heavy because 3 precious girls are fighting hard but nearing the end. My heart is heavy because no parent should have to watch their children die. My heart is amazed at the strength of these young heroes. They are precious, wonderful girls who have inspired thousands. The strength they have found in spite of their own pain, amazes me each time I read of their updates. Here are the links to their CaringBridge websites. There you can read about their courage and even leave some encouraging words for their families as well if you wish.

I apologize that this is not HCG content, but it is what is on my heart today.
I also wanted to share a few thoughts that ARE related to the HCG protocol. When I started this program, I shared it with a few friends. One friend has battled her weight for many years as well and she and I actually applied for Biggest Loser together in January. We've had a "different" friendship than most of the other friendships that I've had. We've had some times where we didn't see eye to eye and therefore we didn't talk, then we'd reconnect years later and put that behind us. That type of friendship wasn't like any I've ever had with anyone else. I have been so used to having relationships with friends where we may not see eye to eye, but it's something we can look around. I'm not sure why, with this friend, it's not been that way.
When I started the HCG protocol, this particular friend had spent months in the gym working her butt off. She'd spent hours and hours each week and watching her food intake to get to the point to where I am right now. When I'd first discussed the HCG protocol with her, she said something along the lines of "that's not fair, you are going to do it the easy way." When I shared with her, she was very skeptical, which is very natural for many people. Shoot, I was very skeptical at first, but I was willing to do countless hours of research. I was also willing to weigh the risks (which are very small by the way compared to other methods of weight loss) with the risks of being obese. Do I stay obese and die of heart disease by 40 and leave my children or do I do something that can get me on the path to health quickly with the fewest side effects (compared to such things my Dr. wanted to prescribe like Phentermine).
I digress......I began to feel this tension between this friend and I. This plan seemed to really bother her, and I tried to talk with her about the "why's" behind the reason I chose the plan. She remained skeptical, and I realized that this plan isn't for everyone. I'd hoped that maybe she'd give it a try and we could be on the journey together. Instead, she'd make comments like "well, we'll see if you die first." I really didn't take to comments like that well and I explained that she didn't have to do the plan with me but I wished her success in hers. Not once did I hear "I hope it works for you, though I don't agree with the protocol." I had really hoped that she could support me in that way. She never did. One day some other things came up on a popular social networking site and her comments seemed very critical, almost as if she were angry at me for something other than that particular subject. I felt a sense that she was frustrated with me because, in her eyes, I was doing it the "easy way." (There isn't anything easy about this, mind you. It is easier than other plans because the success is so immediate, BUT it still takes discipline.) I attempted to discuss my feelings with this friend, unsuccessfully. Sadly, the friendship ended, yet again. I think this was the 3rd time in our 18 year friendship. I wasn't going to be someone's door mat and let a "friend" talk to me the way she was (very degrading).
The saddest part of this scenario is that all of these years, I really did care for her, even if things were difficult from time-to-time. I wanted to see her successful in her job, her relationships, her weight loss. I wanted so much for her. So, when I am on this journey, one we'd planned to be on together, it's hard sometimes when I think about her. I think "I should be sharing these successes with her and her with me." I think about how we should be calling each other and basking in the joy of new dress sizes. Even if we were on different plans, but I never felt she accepted mine. I didn't expect her to join me, though I think she'd of done great if she had, but I really wanted her to support me regardless of my choice in plan. I have been sad that it just didn't happen that way. I'm sad that I lost a friend. I'm sad that I felt I had to say "this is not a friendship" after numerous rude, degrading comments. She had responded to me that it was her sense of humor, and I explained that it's never been funny to me and I thought she'd of understood that about me. I'm sad that it ended the way it did, I still think about her and pray and hope that she is remaining successful on her plan and in her life. So, my heart is heavy sometimes because I don't like losing people from my life when I care about them. I just have to remember that sometimes there are just differences that don't work, and I have to be okay with that. I just wonder if our friendship was never compatible since we'd been on and off friends so many times.
Anyway, lots of things to share today. Hopefully you aren't bored out of your mind. lol. Take care, I'll check in tomorrow!

Interruption Over
I know that I mentioned this part already, but my goal at the end of this round is to be 176 pounds. My goal weight is 140 pounds, but depending on my size, that may change. This protocol allows you to lose so many inches that I just do not want to look too thin.
I got some great jeans this weekend from my Aunt, who did 2 rounds of the protocol and got down to a size she hadn't been since High School. So, I get her hand-me-downs, and she has great taste so I'm good with that. It's very fun to be able to wear cute clothes again. It's nice not to have a gut bigger than your bust. It's nice to finally see waist there again. I can't tell you how tired I was of being fat. I see people who are like I was, I see people who are obese and I so want to shout this protocol from the rooftops. Of course, I wouldn't dare, because that doesn't go well........as I remember when my loved ones would point out the obvious. However, I wish I could tell them. Sometimes I think "I should wear a shirt" lol. I wish they knew that they can successfully lose weight.
Sometimes when I share this protocol with people, they freak out and say "I could never do that." I don't think they realize that if I can do THIS they can do THIS. I'm not kidding. I have been the one on just about every diet plan under the sun. I've tried pills and have seen countless Doctors. I've tried Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, South Beach, Adkins, The Blood Type Diet, You On A Diet, Bob Green's Best Life, a 700 calorie diet WITHOUT HCG, and many many more not to even mention the shakes and pills like Herbalife and SlimFast. Nothing worked on a permanent basis. Each time I tasted success, I stalled out and got frustrated and gave up. Any time I ate even somewhat normally, I gained. I was frustrated countless times and for the FIRST time, this protocol doensn't leave me feeling that way. My plan interruption was a gain, yes, but I know it'll be gone by the end of the week. Was that a setback? Sure, but I was able to enjoy some great food in moderation and not really worry. Normally, there wouldn't be a gain if I was completely through the protocol, but because HCG was still ligering, that partly the reason for the gain. My hypothalmus hasn't been reset on this round yet either, which is another reason.
Let me share a little about how that whole hypothalmus issue. This protocol really does work to reset you. During my first round, I was 222 when I began. I got down to 196.3. I had broken through the barrier of that stubborn place on the scale, which hovered around 203. Once I got beyond that, my body "got it." It realized, "oh shoot, I don't need to be that weight." So, I started losing again. Once I was on phase 3 I didn't do so well with the moving, as far as eating "on plan" as I should've. I still maintained the weight below that stubborn mark of 203. Now I'm hovering around 195 up and down a couple. Once I break that barrier, I have no doubts that I will just find a new place to hover. Once the hypothalmus has reset, there isn't the yo yo effect. IF you eat properly, in moderation, you will only be up or down a couple of pounds, just as any normal person is. I look forward to it. You see all those "skinny girls" who can eat whatever they want. They don't binge, but they enjoy popcorn and candy at the movies. They enjoy a burger, but they eat in moderation. They aren't fat.......we can be there with them which is the coolest part.
I've posted some new videos in the sidebar, take a peek. Pretty cool information there! I'll check in tomorrow and let you know how my first day back on the protocol is going!

Round 2 VLCD Day 13
My stomach is a whole inch smaller than it was 13 days ago. I've lost 5 inches total around my waist since the start of my journey. I am so close to tasting a 30 pound loss which I've not experienced in 5 years. I feel fantastic, my husband is amazed and he is going to be starting a round too so that he can get rid of his 20-25 pounds of weight. I can't tell you how good I feel. I have the energy to take care of the house, the laundry, the kids, run errands. All of which were burdens (except the kids) before. My house clutter was much like my body clutter and it's all improving nicely.
I will check in again tomorrow! Enjoy your day, treasure every moment with your loved ones.

Round 2, VLCD Day 12
I finally have knees! It's nice to see that I actually DO have a set of kneecaps there. For so long they've just been surrounded by fat. In the midst of gaining so much weight, I've forgotten who is underneath all of that fat. It's nice to see glimpses of her now. Being free from fat really allows me to feel free to do more things in my life that I desire to do. I'm less self-conscious when I head out into public. I used to always think people were staring at me and judging my fatness. Now, I don't even think about it anymore. I love that feeling. Those chains of bondage are being broken!

Round 2 VLCD Day 11
I love recommending this plan to people, some of my friends are getting ready to start their journey. It's an amazing one. I hope to inspire people through this, but I also hope to inspire myself to be a different person. Do the things I wasn't doing before. Get out, live life, enjoy it, treasure people. All kinds of things are changing inside of me and I know it's largely in part due to the weight loss. I'm starting to feel comfortable in my own skin again. I'm starting to feel like supermom instead of lazymom.
I will check in again tomorrow! Have a wonderful day!

Round 2 VLCD Day 8

Good Morning! Down .7 today, and I'm noticing inches go as well. I've not measured but can see it in the mirror. I was browsing through some pictures from back in April and can't believe how fat I really was. Granted, though I'm 25 pounds lighter, I'm still considered obese. BUT, these photos just really left my jaw hanging open. I had no idea I was THAT fat. I really didn't. I don't know why, the scale showed it, but I had myself convinced that I wasn't as fat as other people who weigh the same amount. DENIAL. I had so much fat, that I had this bulge at the base of my neck and when I pushed on it, it would hurt. I hadn't noticed the bulge until I bought some cuter clothes, little did I know that no matter what you can't make fat, cute. That bulge is gone now. Totally gone. I don't look like the hunchback of Notre Dame.
Here are pics including that really fat one, and it's VERY hard for me to post it, but here are a few. The first photo is the end of my first round of the diet after 25 pounds lost, the 2nd is a photo taken 10 pounds lighter than my starting weight of 222 in January, and the third is that pudgy neck photo from April. Yikes. I can't even wear those clothes in the bottom photo (size 20) anymore, I tried recently and the pants looked ridiculous cinched up with a belt. The second photo are maternity clothes even though my son was 8 months old. That was my biggest loser audition photo. The top photo, I am wearing a size 14.
Have a good day!

VLCD Round 2 Day 6
Believe it or not, last night's Biggest Loser premiere really got me focused again even more. I see the kind of numbers they pull and it amazes me, granted, they have much more weight to lose than I do. The greatest thing about this plan is the amazing numbers, the pounds AND inches. It's so nice to know that finally, there is something that will work for me and keep me motivated to keep losing. Do things like Weight Watchers work? Absolutely they do, but the problem for so many, is the weight comes back for one reason or another. Many people are successful at keeping it off, but many of "us" who have always struggled with yo yo'ing, find ourselves back at our fat weight binging on food again because we know that we're already fat so why not enjoy it. I was just talking to a friend about this last night. It's very frustrating.
I want to refresh and share the important things about the HCG Protocol. Things that I shared in my very first post and things that are so vitally important. These things were what drove me to making the decision to follow this plan. I share this diet often and have helped others get their products ordered, so this is for those newbies who are curious and ask "Why this plan? Why will it work for me?"
There are 4 conditions that abnormally fat or obese people suffer from
1. Real, constant physical hunger
2. Low metabolism (you look at food and gain weight)
3. uncontrollable urges to eat when not hungry (cravings, emotional eating, addictive type behavior)
4. The body stores fat abnormally (hips, thighs, butt) and no matter how hard you try, it never seems to go away from those problem areas completely.
Dr. Simeons, the founder of the HCG Diet, discovered the cause of the above conditions. The Hypothalmus. It functions improperly when we become obese/fat and needs "reset." Dr. Simeons spent some time in India after WW II and discovered that there were famished thin, emaciated women who would give birth to perfectly healthy babies. Normal weight, healthy babies. This fascinated and puzzled him, so, he began to do some research. He discovered that the Hypothalmus, when a woman is pregnant, tells the body to release the fat for the babies nutrition. So, he decided to inject an obese patient with HCG, reduce the caloric intake, and discovered that the presence of HCG, even in the non-pregnant body, triggers the Hypothalmus to release the fat. The HCG Diet opens our fat stores, and releases it to burn for energy releasing about 2000-3000 worth of calories per day. When combined with a low calorie diet, results in a loss of about 1 pound per day
There are phases on this plan, 6 weeks you inject and do the very low calorie diet. Strict diet, certain foods only. VERY low calorie, BUT with HCG because of it's function and its work on the Hypothalmus, doesn't allow you to be hungry. Why? Because you are releasing those 2000-3000 calories to burn along with the low calorie eating plan. After 6 weeks, you go on a low carb plan, like Atkins Induction. You do that for 3 weeks, this begins to reset the Hypothalmus for the new weight. After 3 weeks on phase 3 which is the Atkins, you go to phase 4 where you begin eating normally again (normal=much like South Beach Phase 2 and 3). After 3 weeks on that, if you have more weight to lose, you go back to phase 2 which is the HCG and low cal. Kevin Trudeau invented the Phases, Dr. Simeons did not have "phases." Kevin Trudeau used Simeons protocol and enhanced it with cleanses and supplements, so Phase 1 is actually a cleansing phase. I've chosen to follow the Simeons Protocol instead of Kevin Trudeau's method. If you are interested in Kevin Trudeau's information, he has a book called "The Weight Loss Cure." It has some good information in it even if you wish not to add extra things.
When you go back to eating normally, after you have lost all of the weight, the idea is that you don't gain it back. The Hypothalmus has been reset. 1 year later, 85% of the people on this plan have not gained the weight back. If we go back to eating junk food all the time, yes, we will gain it back.
The reason our Hypothalmus' do this is because our diets are so genetically modified. That is why our obesity is constantly increasing in this country. If you look at, say, someone who moved here from Vietnam, they've eaten the same meals here that they ate there but suddenly gain weight. They can't figure it out. It's the genetically modified foods. So, if we go back to eating MSG and loads of junk constantly, we probably will find ourselves in that state where we first started putting on weight. Slowly gaining again.
High Fructose Corn Syrup is responsible for the malfunction of the Hypothalmus. Artificial sweeteners as well, and Candida Albicans (too much yeast in the body...gas, bloating etc). The HCG diet, cleanses the body of all of these things, giving it a reboot.
Hopefully reintroducing these things has been helpful for some of you, to see where we start from and what the goal of this diet is. So many people see "needles" and panic. Keep in mind, there is a non-needle option where people have found great success. If I can do this, anyone can do this, seriously. Me, who applied to be a contestant on the Biggest Loser after 13 years of struggling with weight.

Whirlwind
I started VLCD a week ago and should be about 7 pounds down, but am only 3. I was up at 201.6 to start and back down to 199.3 this morning. I had things today that weren't on protocol....so we'll see come tomorrow. My husband's Grandfather passed away last night, our home that is on the market in another state flooded after a water softener incident, and there are other stressors that I won't bore you with....but you GET why I'm struggling. I will do this. My Mom gets married in 2 weeks and I WILL be lighter by then.
I will post more tomorrow but wanted to get you back in the loop while there was still a chance today. lol

Wow, sorry for not posting
With the remodeling we had not been able to eat in our home until today, so needless to say, I stopped injecting and have been "trying" to stick to P3. Trying hasn't always been successful, but I do have to say that I have maintained my weight for the last 11 days. There was one point I was down to 197.5 but that was not my LIW. I am now at 198.3. Not shabby at all. It's not my 30 pound goal, it's not my 191 goal, but due to the circumstances I felt it best to stop and continue with P3 and P4 and start P2 again when we are settled into our new home in a new state with a new job etc. lol
I am honestly shocked that I've maintained the weight with all of the eating out and occasional poor choices (carbs, sugar). I sit here having a protein shake with coffee as we speak, feels good to be back in my kitchen. I need to plan some meals from my new book which are low GI and gluten free. Yum. Can't wait.
Well, I can't promise I'll check in every day, but I do promise the occasional updates and definitel will begin daily check-ins come time for my 2nd round of P2. Don't get bored and disappear on me, I promise to give at least 1 update weekly. Next Friday is our move, so expect 1-2 between now and then.
Have a great day!

Day 31
9 days left on VLCD, down today .4 to 198.3. That would be my fault, because I made french toast for the kids and kept taking bites. I also had a little diet treat from sonic, a diet strawberry limeade. Not exactly on protocol and the fizz is likely to make me bloated. lol. It really wasn't that good. Now, the french toast, that was good.
I ordered a cookbook yesterday from amazon, (featured at www.elanaspantry.com ) that will be great to use during Phase 3 and 4. Lots of great recipes using items low on the glycemic index, using almond flour to bake instead of regular flour. I can't wait for P3. I can have my agave nectar again in my coffee with non-dairy creamer! I miss coffee the way it used to be, blonde. lol. There is a wonderful mouth-watering list of great gluten-free foods http://www.elanaspantry.com/recipes/
Well, have tons of cleaning to do today, we have drywallers coming tomorrow at 7am to get started on retexturing our home and fixing blemishes so that it's perfect for the market. That means hauling out things I'm not going to use into storage until they are done. It'll be a long day, but one sure to keep me from food much. lol
See you tomorrow!
Thursday, August 6, 2009
Day 30
I'm upping my dose again to 175 units, 150 just isn't cutting it. So, back at it I go. I have 11 more days on Phase 2 and I can't wait to see the final weigh in results. My goal, again, is 191 which was my pre-pregnancy weight. That is only 7.7 pounds for 11 days. Hopefully I'll continue to do well and lost a pound a day and be beyond my goal.
That's all for now! Talk to you tomorrow!
P.S. I have no idea why this is, but I am getting more afraid of sticking myself with needles as time goes on. It's this hilarious thing. I sit there and stare at it and get all anxious. lol.
P.S.S. My BMI has dropped from 35.8 to 32.1 I am so close to just being "overweight" instead of "obese." WAHOO

Day 27, starting up again
So, back at it today. I will check in tomorrow with some hopefully better news. I remixed again this morning for a fresh batch. I did waste some, but want to be sure that it is fresh since it was close to 30 days of me having it mixed. Thank goodness it's cheap. lol

Plan Interruption, day 1 post-VLCD
With that said, not too much else to report. I will check back tomorrow and report losses. I'm praying I will get to ONDERLAND if not tomorrow then by Saturday, which is day 1 of the plan interruption. I will do 2 days of interruption and then resume Monday back on the VLCD and injections to finish out the cycle.
Have a great day!

Planned interruption in protocol
I am beginning what is called a "planned interruption" where I know I will be cheating at the corn festival on Saturday, so I had my last injection yesterday and will continue on the VLCD (very low calorie diet) through Friday and enjoy some sweet corn on Saturday. I will resume the injections and VLCD on Monday. I will continue for the remainder of the 40 days, which is 13 days. Then I will move into phase 3. I planned out my calendar and will be done with my 2nd round of this right before Christmas. I will enjoy the holiday, then resume on another round after the first of the year. Perfect timing. I should be at my goal weight of 140 by February which will be 8 months on the protocol. I CAN'T WAIT. My reward to myself is $1000 shopping spree for new clothes and a spa day. I'd better get to saving soon ;).
I feel so great, my husband compliments me daily on how skinny I am. I love the feeling of not being gross anymore. I love feeling like I can show my face in public again without those dreaded stares. I have more energy, I have more drive, and I just feel fantastic other than minor GI disturbances which I may just need a digestive enzyme for.
Well, that's all for now. I'll report losses in the morning. Have a wonderful day.
Tuesday, July 28, 2009
Day 27
It's a busy day around here, Pediatrician appointment, landscaping, cleaning. No time for thinking about food anyway. In all honesty, though, I really don't think about it unless we're gathered with others surrounded by the stuff. I no longer ponder on picking up a bag of cheetos and a sleeve of oreos to eat in one sitting. I don't drool at the thought of driving out for my favorite, fully-loaded, coffee drink. So many things have become routine (unless it's messed up with a party of course) that I just do the same things. The things that work. I think I'll try shrimp today for lunch, it's very low in fat and hopefully will boost things. Fish works really well for boosting my losses. Not entirely sure why that is, but if it works......
Not too much else to report for now. Until next time.....
Monday, July 27, 2009
Day 26
Am I disappointed, yes somewhat. Overall? I am happy with how things are going and just have to realize that sometimes life still exists. Especially during the summer when we are around food so much more often. My next round should be easier......I hope. We may be moving, so depending on that, we may be moving during that round. It should be fall, calmer, less parties, and less outdoor fun surrounded by food. It'll be the perfect opportunity to get some weight off without tons of distractions. I probably can lose more then than I have this round. My goal this round is still 30 pounds. I may extend my time if I don't reach it by a few days.
This coming weekend is another festival, our town corn festival. A yearly family tradition celebrated by out of town guests. So, we will go. I will eat corn, and I will gain. For sure. I will, however, enjoy myself and my family especially if we find ourselves moving. I will not focus on the negatives that I could focus on, but learn to enjoy food in different ways than I have before. Moderation is definitely something I know how to practice. What I cheated on yesterday, would be a perfectly normal portion. Just not for VLCD.
Anyhoo......onward! I will report tomorrow, and hopefully yesterday doesn't catch up late.

More thoughts for today
I am amazed at how many inches are gone from my body. My arms hang closer to my body, my legs are able to close further, my bust is a lot smaller. Those pudgy places in the front of the armpits next to the bra line, are shrinking! My face is thinner. I am utterly shocked at my waist though. I tried on a pair of jeans this morning that I bought 3 years ago and never could wear. I have a few more inches, maybe 15 more pounds to lose and they'll fit. I could be surprised and find that I can wear them after this round. That is more motivation to keep going. Those jeans, I couldn't even get up my thighs before I started this. Now, I literally have 2 inches before I can button them. This protocol is insane when it comes to how many inches you lose.
I plan to head out to the shed to dig out some old clothes I've saved in hopes that something adorable fits.
Day 25
Tomorrow is Hubby's Birthday, and today is a party for him at his Grandma's. Always loads and loads of food. I have to bake 2 peach pies and take them. Luckily for me, that isn't as much of a weakness as cake. I have no idea how I'll do. I hope I can get my rear in gear and crank out the loss this next week to make up for my shortcomings. I am still pleased with the results, don't get me wrong. I just realize I could probably be at the 25-30 pound mark by now if I kept my greedy little fingers out of things. It is hard when you have to cook for others. I think if my Sister weren't here these last 2 weeks, I'd of done so much differently. The kids are easy to make stuff for that I don't particularly care to eat, but when it comes to home cookin.....well......that's where I get myself in trouble.
Today is a non-injection day. Hopefully I can at least maintain where I am after the party this afternoon for tomorrow's weigh in. I was going to say "I vow to do my best" but I know that's probably not true. lol. I will enjoy family today, and try to not let food be the center of everything. I will try to do better at drinking more. I do, however, look forward to the day when my hypothalmus behaves itself more efficiently and I can enjoy small tastes at parties without repercussions. I realize that now, it's due to the HCG in my system. It'll be interesting to see how it goes on phase 3.
That's all for now, I really wanted to avoid posting today so you didn't have to see my shortcomings.

Day 24

Wahoo, down 1.8 which takes me to 21 pounds lost. Here is the before and after....be nice. lol. I still have a long ways to go, 61 pounds to be exact. I do realize, however, that it helps other people to "see" success so here they are just for you! Embarrassing however. 23 days, 21 pounds. I feel great. Not too much else to report!

Day 23
Thursday, July 23, 2009
Day 22
My goal by the end of this round of the VLCD is 191 pounds. That is 31 pounds from my starting weight, and the weight I was when I became pregnant with my first child in 2005. I will reach the end of the VLCD on August 13th. I will then go into phase 3 of the plan, and begin eating more calories/fat/protein on a low carb diet for 3 weeks. That 3 weeks will be followed by 3 weeks of introducing some grains and more "normal" foods. Following that 3 weeks, I can and probably will start another round of the VLCD so that by Christmas I could potentially be 60 pounds down from my starting weight. That would be 162 pounds. I'm in awe that I could be that much lighter before the end of the year. Amazing. Usually things like this are too good to be true. So far, it's been so much easier than anything else I've done. Primarily because I don't have the cravings I used to have. Do I have cravings? Sure, but I don't want to sit and eat a whole cake or bag of cheetos. I can look at a package of fig newtons sitting in the pantry and not binge on them. I can ignore most of the things that surround me, minus an occasional ice cream cone from the dairy. When I do cheat, I cheat in moderation. I feel gooda about where I am at.
See you tomorrow!

Day 21
I'm figuring out that certain foods just don't work as well as others on this plan. Beef happens to be one of those foods, while fish allows me to lose MUCH more weight. If I eat fish for lunch and chicken for dinner, it's amazing at the weight that is off the next morning.
There was an article in Self Magazine this month discussing Doctors prescribing hormones such as HGH and HCG. It focused primarily on the HGH and how people are choosing to use the hormone, but it did go into HCG a bit as well. The article didn't have a lot to say about HCG, though they tried to keep it as negative as possible. The typical "this doesn't work, there's no proof" etc. The proof is in the pudding, not to mention the clinical trials that HAVE been done where they found that the people on the HCG vs. the placebo did actually retain more muscle and lose significantly greater inches than the group on the placebo. I can tell you first hand that I have done a 700 calorie diet without the use of HCG and felt like I was going to starve to death. That just simply isn't the case on this diet. Let me weigh my pros with my cons:
Let's start with the pros: 18.8 pounds lost in 20 days, mega inches lost (4 on my bust, 3.3 on my waist as of 2 days ago), more energy, more self-esteem, clothes are fitting better, getting compliments from people again, not being ignored because I'm fat, my hydradenitis has been so much better (skin condition), my bladder doesn't leak as much (biproduct of having children and being obese), I'm not obsessed with food, I'm not going down a path of destruction by continuing toward diabetes. Those are my successes in just 20 days.
Cons: I was hungry the first week, I do cheat from time to time, needles still make me nervous a little, the first day on plan I was hypoglycemic because I wasn't spreading out my food.
The potential side-effects that nay sayers are worried about are increased fertility, birth defects if used during pregnancy (which makes absolutely NO sense because HCG is present in your body when you are pregnant and we know the benefits it has to growing a baby. Not to mention that they are using side effects found in the fertility treatments which happen to be approx. 10000 units a day which is about 29-58 times what you inject daily. I think the article mentioned that the amount used during fertility treatments ends up being double or more of the total amount of HCG used during a diet protocol. The problem is, all of the speculation about side effects is just that, speculation. They've not seen it when used as a weight loss tool.
Doctors would rather prescribe you phentermine for weight loss, which serves as a similar function (affects hypothalmus and allows you to restrict calories without being hungry). Phentermine also allows rapid weight loss, on average 8-12 pounds per month. Let's look a little deeper at Phentermine. My personal experience was with my Doctor in a consultation regarding weight loss, where we discussed the possibility of using it. At the time I was breastfeeding and on anti-depressants. He said I would need to stop breastfeeding but could remain on the anti-depressants. I asked him what the contraindications would be with Zoloft, he said "maybe heart issues." Hmmmm, right away I said no. Side effects: dry mouth, sleeplessness, constipation, headaches, restlessness, anxiety, racing heart, dizziness, blurred vision, urinary hesitation in men, changes in sex drive, upset stomach. Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bizarre behavior; chest pain; fainting; fast heartbeat; pounding in the chest; shortness of breath; swelling of the legs and feet; tremor. Effects of Phentermine on certain systems:
Cardiovascular: Phentermine generally causes a significant rise in heart rate. Hypertension and arrhythmias may be problematic in susceptible patients. Valvular heart disease has been reported in patients taking phentermine in combination with fenfluramine or dexfenfluramine, but not in patients taking phentermine alone. Analysis of available data suggests that fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine are the causal agents, and both drugs have been withdrawn from the market as of September 15, 1997.
Central Nervous System: Overstimulation, restlessness, dizziness, insomnia, euphoria, dysphoria, tremor, headache, rarely psychotic episodes at recommended doses.
Gastrointestinal: Dryness of the mouth, unpleasant taste, diarrhea, constipation, other gastrointestinal disturbances.
Allergic: Urticaria.
Let's compare Phentermine with HCG. HCG side effects: "The side effects of HCG use are uncommon. The HCG side effects one will have to keep an eye out for include the onset of headaches, irritability, restlessness, slight water retention, tenderness of breast tissue, swelling of the injection sight, and depression. There are some rare, severe side effects as well which include the development of ovarian hyperstimulation in females. The latter condition requires immediate medical treatment and is accompanied by the following symptoms: tremendous pain in the region of the pelvis, the swelling of feet, legs, and hands, abdominal pain, abdominal swelling, difficulty breathing, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, a diminishing of urination, and weight gain. If a user of HCG products notes any side effects it is recommended that he or she cease using the products immediately and that he or she seek out the assistance of a physician." This same site happen to mention that these are side effects that "may" be seen. The primary research for these side effects stem from the fertility treatments which we've already established are significantly higher in dosage.
To me, it is clear that Phentermine has a much longer history of known and observed side effects than HCG. Could I not do either? Absolutely, but then we're back to the same old problem....an improperly functioning hypothalmus of which Weight Watchers or South Beach may seem to work for a time, but from personal experience have always gone back to the same habits, cravings, and yo yo dieting. All of which, according to Dr. Simeons, is a result of a hypothalmus that still hasn't been "reset."
This is why I've chosen this plan, obviously it's not for everyone. Those skeptical aren't being forced to do the plan. I can tell you that hundreds and hundreds of people are seeing real results and keeping the weight off. 85% of people who do this plan and see it through, keep the weight off. Can the same really be said about South Beach or even Weight Watchers? For me, it's a tiny window of injecting and low calorie. 40 days. That's not even an introductory period at a new job. That's a tiny time frame. For those with more to lose, they could do the protocol more than once. After 40 days, you aren't restricting calories, you increase protein and eventually stabilize and begin to eat normally. You repeat the phases as many times as you need to complete your weight loss. I will likely complete 2 rounds or 3 rounds depending on the success. The time I will spend on the HCG is 120 days at max, of which is miniscule in comparisson to how long I've been obese. The risks to my health, my heart, my organs, my risk for cancer are all elevated with being obese. Being obese for much longer than I will be exposed to the potential side effects of HCG, which are far less dangerous than that of Phentermine and other weight loss drugs on the market, approved by the FDA.
Enough soap box for today, lol. Have a great day, I will see you tomorrow!

Day 17
I am down .3 today, not a huge amount, but down none-the-less. One of the "pro's" on the HCG Diet yahoo group mentioned that sometimes you don't see weight as much, but your inches are still coming off. That the weight and inches seem to alternate. I know I'm losing like crazy in both areas. My weight today was 206.5. 4.5 pounds until I reach 20 pounds. Next week for sure.
